The author of the work, Beatrice Katrīna Zvanītāja, is a graduate of Rēzekne Art and Design High School. For her qualification work, she drew inspiration from the poetry of Aleksandrs Čaks. After reading the poem "Today" by A. Čaks, which tells about a day lived calmly and beautifully and a quiet elusive longing for renewal and harmony, artist created a sculpture, which visualizes the emotions of this poem and the feelings inspired by Aleksandra Čaka poetry.

On July 8, 2022 at 15.00, by commemorating the 145th anniversary of Alexander Schmaeling, museum "Riga Art Nouveau Center" starts a new event series " Museum object stories". At the center of attention of the first event is a photo album of Alexander Schmaeling from the museum's collection. Only on July 8, visitors will get an oportunity to see the photo album up close, learn more about the architect and his family, as well as go on a tour in the museum, learn additional information on Alexander Schmaeling's work and life.

On June 17 this year, the exhibition “ЛАВ = LOVE” of the Riga Photography Biennale 2022 will open its doors in the Intro hall of the exhibition hall “Riga Art Space”, which will provide an insight into the three private collections of photographs, postcards and slides. The exhibition will be open until the end of the biennial on July 10.
