Throughout summer, on Thursdays at 18.00, Culture and Recreation Center "Imanta" offers outdoor music concerts. 

Musical evenings will take place in the open air, creating a relaxed and summery atmosphere, allowing residents of the area to relax from the daily rush, to notice that even there, among the multi-storey buildings, it is possible to feel and enjoy summer.

On July 21 at 18.00 performance by  a musical gang "Rahu The Fool"

"Rahu The Fool" is a musical gang, also called “everywhere and nowhere”, who perform music inspired by grandfathers' stories of love and war, of our rural seas and meadows, and other things long forgotten - the life of ancient times and the bright moments of todays lives.

"Rahu the Fool" vocalist and guitarist Peteris Narubins says: "We call ourselves a gang, because we 'play cards with everyday situations.' We play covers of Latvian and American songs as well as create our own songs. Jazeps and I are very fond of American blues music. We put this feeling, which can be found in New Orleans jazz and blues, in Mississippi blues, into Latvian music."

Musically, “Rahu The Fool” tries not to stick to a certain cliché. For purposes of custom and good faith, this gang performs folk music with jazz, hip-hop, avant-garde, bluegrass and a touch of world music. The band performs various songs and dances - sometimes in world rock style, sometimes in bluegrass. Sometimes the washboard gets lost in the lake and then they get to perform like a string quartet.

The band admits that they love what they do and therefore what they do is what they do best.
