Flamenco is a rhythmic music that combines guitar playing, long drawn-out singing and rhythmic dance. It was born in Andalusia and is said to have been strongly influenced by the local Roma, or Gitanos. Flamenco, unlike other dances of European nations, is a dance that is formed by allowing oneself to flow with one's inner feelings. The Spanish believe that the guitar is the source of inspiration for flamenco. In the creative process, flamenco dancers use many elements: hand movements, wrist movements, foot taps, etc., but clothes, shoes and accessories also play an important role in creating a dancer's image.
