From April 18 to May 14, the "Diversity in Metal" exhibition of TLMS "Zīle" can be viewed at the Riga Culture Center "Iļguciems".
The purpose of the exhibition is to show how a simple and sometimes overlooked steel rod, a piece of reinforcement or a metal scrap can be used to create a useful and beautiful object. The objects of the exhibition depict the various uses of metal in the creation of everyday objects and its ability to transform from one form to another, the details connecting with each other and creating a common ensemble of one or more objects as a whole. In the objects of the exhibition, you can see the different handwritings of their authors, a view on the abilities of the used material to create various forms and transitions, as well as the mutual synergy of individual details and materials - where both metals and other materials we know come together.
The exhibition exhibits the works of the members of TLMS "Zīle" of the Riga Culture Center "Iļguciems", created during an active learning process under the master and head of the studio Jānis Pūce.
