From October 3 to 31, 2022, the exhibition of Late Iron Age objects "(sa)Dzīve" can be viewed in the gallery on the 2nd floor of the Riga Culture and Recreation Center "Imanta". The last stage of the Iron Age - the Late Iron Age in the territory of Latvia covers the period from the 9th to the 12th century. It was marked by a gradual new transition, new knowledge, changes in everyday life and art.
The name "(sa)Dzīve" symbolizes the everyday small and big things that make up human life as a whole.
The purpose of the exhibition is to notice the presence of household objects of the Late Iron Age in people's everyday life. To create interest for further learning and research, as well as to see the common and the differents values and sides of the objects.
All the chosen masters are connoisseurs of their craft and enthusiasts of living history: researcher of the Department of Archeology of the Latvian National History Museum Mg. hist., Mg. Art. Baiba Dumpe, carpenter and master of ancient musical instruments Andris Roze in cooperation with the Crafts House of Drabešu Manor, needlework researcher Madara Briede, assistant professor of RTU and researcher of ancient shoes Agrita Krieviņa - Siliņa, master of ancient shoes Guna Zommere, shoemaker Kaspars Zvirbulis, who inherited his craft from his ancestors, Viesturs Āboltiņš, craftsman of Cēsis Palace (The Black Market of the white bones), who specialized in researching and making replicas of archaeological antiquities made of bone and horn, using ancient methods, as well as other enthusiasts.
The exposition is designed to cover various daily needs and occupations of people. Shoes, gloves and socks, earthenware and wooden vessels, their awls, bone and antler board games, bone needles, awls, knives and other items.

The exhibition is organized by the Riga Culture and Leisure Center "Imanta" of the Association of Culture Institutions of Riga Municipality.
The exhibition is free for visitors every day from 10.00 to 20.00
