From January 2 to 31, 2023, the exhibition "Dabas krāšņums" by the art studio "Krāsu deja" can be viewed in the gallery on the 2nd floor of the Riga Culture and Recreation Center "Imanta."
This exhibition exhibits the works of painters, mainly made in the oil painting technique. The exhibition shows both emotional landscapes and natural motifs of native and beloved places in Latvia, as well as various fragments of foreign impressions.
Students of the studio actively represent themselves at various exhibitions and events, because it is important for everyone to share the joy of their creative discoveries and be appreciated as well.
In 2017, in the heart of Old Riga with a view of the Palace of Light, full of inspiration, Marija Matvejeva and Līva Kaprāle started to share their creative experience and joy with the visitors in the "Krāsu deja" studio. The name of the studio " Krāsu deja " ( “Dance of Colors”) arose from the belief of both artists that the joy of colors and creative movement in art can emotionally uplift everyone.
In 2023, the art studio "Krāsu deja" turns 6 years old. In these years, more than 650 interested people of different ages have been a part of the studio. On a daily basis, the studio offers both thematic master classes and lesson courses, and for the most passionate visitors to improve their skills. We can be especially proud of the students whom the studio has prepared for a further path in professional art education.
Very varied, diverse and interesting works have been created over several years. Art works are done in various art techniques - watercolor, oil and acryl. Special to the studio "Krāsu deja" is the thematic drawing and watercolor painting learning program "Anime", which creates a connection between classical art techniques and this popular pop culture genre of the new generation.
