On July 11 from 18:00 to 19:30, a screen printing master class with Jānis Murovskis will take place in the exhibition hall “Riga Art Space”. Screen printing master class is one of several events that take place within the international graphics festival PRINTMAKING IN. Anyone interested is invited to participate.
Jānis Murovskis participates in the exhibition "Pārmaiņu priekšā" with silk-screen works created in a original method. They are made analog, skipping one of the classic phases of the screen printing process - lighting. In the master class, you will learn how to create a drawing on a mesh without using light-sensitive technologies. The artist will demonstrate this method from the creation of the image to the printing process.
Artist Jānis Murovskis, who is also known by the name Muris, works mainly in the screen printing technique, the visual language of his artworks is based on associative abstraction. The author is a professor at the Latvian Academy of Artsa and the head of the Audio-Visual Media Art Department.
