Throughout June, the Riga Porcelain Museum will hold a colourful creative workshop focused on painting porcelain objects using various techniques inspired by the Midsummer theme.
The museum’s June workshop, open every day except Sundays and Mondays, offers visitors the opportunity to decorate glazed porcelain items as well as unglazed white ceramic tiles using different techniques, with the help of visual materials, examples, and stencils related to the Midsummer theme.
The available colour palette is broad, vivid, and vibrant, and the relatively simple technique allows participants to realise any creative idea. Finished works can be collected after firing, within two weeks.
Participation fees range from €5.50 to €19.10, depending on the value of the item being decorated.
The workshop is open to visitors aged 7 and up—either individually or in groups of up to 10 participants, including families with children, young people, seniors, people with mobility impairments, and other interested visitors.
The sessions will be led by museum educators Astra Ratkeviča and Vita Lukstiņa.
Advance registration is required by phone at +371 26406354, daily from 11:30 to 17:30, except on Mondays and Sundays.
