On the evening of December 1, the mixed choir “Senais kalns” and the senior women’s choir “Amadeus” invite you to the First Advent concert “Tomorrow it will snow…”.
The cyclical flow of time has once again brought us into the darkest, yet the most beautiful, hopeful time of the year, when we welcome snow with sparkling joy, light candles and wait for Christmas. Everything is filled with the serene, bright sound of holiday melodies and everyone is welcome to enjoy the Advent concert cycle “Colors of the Season. Winter light-shadow play.” in the Concert hall AVE SOL.
The concert program is made from different shades of sounds – in it we will hear both spiritual and secular music, the songs and melodies will allow imagination to travel, taking it from the northern snows to the southern islands, from the backyard to distant lands. Valdis Zilver's cantata “Zvaigžņu gaismā”, Jackson Berkie's “Nature Paintings”, Finnish and Filipino folk songs will be interspersed with original songs and arrangements by other composers, dedicated not only to Christmas, but also to the theme of moods and reflections. To make the concert sound richer, the violin, viola, flute, piano and percussion will sound along with the singers' voices.
Free admission
