Exhibition displays the works by ten artists: Anna Ceipe, Agnese Čemme, Lauris Krauze, Simona Ķīvite, Jānis Leimanis, Dainis Lesiņš, Valentīns Petjko, Valda Podkalne, Ainārs Rimicāns and Andris Vēzis.
Porcelain is associated with liquids in two ways. One of the physical states of porcelain is a liquid mass, which is transformed into an object only after casting it into a mold and firing. The chemical and physical properties of porcelain make it possible to create objects for domestic use, such as storage and liquid pouring. Liquids in a person's life may seem imperceptible, but as we begin to list them, we realize that they are important and present in our everyday lives. Different liquids have different subjective and objective properties: fragrant, sticky, healthy, poisonous, transparent, thick, and so on.
"A liquid has a force to breaks its way, to flow wherever it wants. As human beings, we are closely connected with water, which is essential to our existence. And because a significant percentage of our body weight is water, I like to view artists as liquids. The exhibition is created as a unique cocktail, which is given to the viewer's enjoyment, ”says the curator of the exhibition Ieva Nagliņa.
