Sabīne Līva in her paintings with her characteristic light tones and precise line patterns depict harmonious compositions. The artist draws inspiration from the picturesque words from Čaka masterpieces, his grain of thoughts about Riga, the cultural heritage and the unique breath of the city's surroundings. The artist combines the motifs of her works with contemporary graphic signs, where the visual content invites the viewer to participate in the vision, attitude and emotions.
Sabīne Līva was born in Rīga, graduated from J.Rozentāls Riga Art High School, studied painting, graphics, textile art at the Latvian Academy of Arts, Ontario College of Art and Design (OCADU), Toronto, Canada and Florence, Italy. She has run her second home in Toronto, Canada for twenty years. Participates in exhibitions since 2000. The artist has had solo exhibitions in Latvia and Canada, group exhibitions in Latvia, Belgium, Italy, France, UAE, Canada, USA, including the annual art fairs Artexpo New York, One of a Kind Show Toronto, Contemporary Art Fair The Artist Project, Toronto Art Expo. Sabīne Līva's paintings are represented in several Latvian and North American art galleries and private collections.
