Ditas Luse's airy works can be viewed from 1st September, while on 2nd September at 18.00 a great opportunity to meet and talk with the artist herself at the official opening of the exhibition.
Dita Luse has won recognition in various international art competitions, including ones in Japan, Taiwan, India, as well as in Europe. She has held more than 30 solo exhibitions in Latvia, as well as in Lithuania, Italy, USA, Slovenia and Taiwan. Regularly participates in thematic group exhibitions and art competitions. She paints in oil but her style could be characterized by a thin, watercolor overlay, maintaining a seemingly random painting technique, while showing the main message of the work and the reflection of reality. The most characteristic themes of the artist are the play of light and shadow in various interiors and exteriors, using ornamentally designed areas, stylized plant motifs, the dispassionate images created by X-rays, as well as looking into one's roots through old photographs, giving them a philosophically distant generalization.
Dita Lsce says the following about her works: "In art, I am interested and fascinated by the emotional impact of light, space and time. I get to know the world through my painting, it allows me to study how light highlights a room, helps reveal the depth of a room and creates a mood. Like many people at this time, I too was looking for silence and solitude, and I aspired to bring it into my painting as well. The flicker of light highlights or, on the contrary, silences the room, giving an atmosphere to the environment."
