The Riga Porcelain Museum in April to its visitors offers a porcelain decoration workshop "Waiting for Spring"

In April, visitors to the creative workshop of the Riga Porcelain Museum will be able to learn collage and application skills, creating their own compositions on porcelain products.
The museum workshop offers decal sheets with a ready-made designs - ornaments, images of animals and plants, as well as colorful decal sheets from which visitors will be able to cut their own shapes, silhouettes and create unique compositions on dishes.
Decals are "transferable pictures" with ceramic paint, which are fixed on the dish by firing the object in an oven at a temperature of 920°C. After firing, the dishes can be safely used on daily basis, as the decor has become permanent.
During the workshop, participants will be able to learn the basics of porcelain decoration and composition creation, gain new knowledge about various decoration techniques and the specifics of colors, as well as try the new skills in practice.
Families with children from 7 years of age, young people, seniors, as well as people with mobility impairments are specially invited to participate in the workshop. The workshop will be led by museum teachers Vita Lukstiņa and Astra Kaprāne. The participation fee in the workshop is 6.70 EUR - 19.00 EUR, depending on the value of the object chosen for decoration.
