In the creative workshop of the Riga Porcelain Museum in January, you will be able to make handmade ornaments with tinted pourable porcelain mass.
In January, the Riga Porcelain Museum invites you to indulge in creativity - to make intricate porcelain decorations with your own hands from different colors of porcelain mass: white, soft blue or pink. Let your imagination run wild by creating your own, unique ornament patterns!
With a pre-prepared tubes filled with castable mass, you will draw fine patterns on the plaster base, which after drying and firing at 1250 °C, will turn into beautiful, fragile porcelain ornaments. Or, if you choose, you will be able to pour them in templates prepared by artists. Museum teachers will help you realize your idea and take care of the post-processing of the created object. This is a great way to spend time with family and friends. Visitors of different ages can participate in the workshop, starting with school-aged children; the workshop is accessible to people with special needs.
The workshop will be led by museum teachers Rasa Jansone and Astra Kaprāne.
The workshop is available from January 3 to 31, from Tuesday to Saturday. Workshop participation fee 9.00 EUR.
You need to register for the workshop in advance by phone +371 26406354 or email rpmdarbnica@riga.lv every day from 11.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., except Mondays and Sundays. Please note that the number of places in the workshop is limited.
