The Riga Porcelain Museum will host a thematic porcelain workshop “Christmas” throughout December, from Tuesday to Saturday.
Christmas is associated with white and fragile snowflakes, the smell of fir trees and time spent with loved ones. In December, the Riga Porcelain Museum offers to indulge in holiday-themed creativity and make decorations with your own hands from white or tinted – soft blue or green – porcelain casting mass. An additional offer – to create decorations by pressing porcelain mass into pre-prepared ornamental forms. Porcelain snowflakes, candles, fir trees, snowmen and other figures, blanks for earrings, pendants, brooches or sets of fir tree decorations – let your imagination run wild, creating your own unique holiday souvenirs and decorations!
Decorations and ornaments will be created with a pre-prepared tubes filled with liquid porcelain mass, which, after drying and firing at 1250°C, will turn into beautiful, fragile porcelain ornaments. No previous experience is required to participate in the creative workshop, as museum educators will help realize your idea and take care of the post-processing of the created object.
Children from 6 years of age, as well as adults individually or in groups, are invited to participate in the workshop. The workshop is accessible to people with special needs.
Workshop participation fee 9.00 EUR.
Pre-registration is required by phone +371 26406354 every day from 11:30 to 17:30, except Mondays and Sundays.
