In the exhibition hall "Riga Art Space", visitors are given the opportunity to focus on the imprints of post-socialism and post-colonialism in today's society and culture, and their echoed changes in Latvia, the Baltics and the wider region through environmental and ecological perspectives in the exhibition "Decolonial ecologies. Understanding the Postcolonial after Socialism'. The exhibition provides an opportunity to review the relationship between today and the past in Eastern Europe and the post-Soviet region, to provide new perspectives on how to think about the influence of colonial, imperial, and occupation power even after its apparent end, and a true liberation from this influence.
Among others, the museum "Riga Art Nouveau centrs" delights visitors and invites them to enjoy the moods of the year in the Art Nouveau interior - at the exhibition "Christmas in the Art Nouveau atmosphere". The interior decorated by Tamara Chudnovska and Christmas trees decorated in the style of the 19th century, works of art by Kristīne Japiņa and and special room lighting by Dina Baumane will make the holidays warm and unforgettable.
The Riga Porcelain Museum, on the other hand, offers the opportunity to see not only two outstanding exhibitions - Ilona Romula's solo exhibition "Unplayed Games" and the 16th International Small Form Porcelain Exhibition with the theme "Consolation", but also to indulge in creativity dedicated to the holidays - - to make porcelain decors from different colors of liquid porcelain clay: white, soft blue or pink, or to create them by pouring the clay into specially prepared ornamental shapes. Porcelain snowflakes, candles, fir trees, snowmen and other figures, blanks for earrings, pendants, brooches or sets of Christmas tree decorations - let your imagination run wild, creating your own unique holiday souvenirs for giving or decorating!
