Art’s and craft’s exhibition “Creative dominance. Black and White” - very thematic, elegant, laconic, solemn and graphic. It is an announcement of opportunities, creativity, talent, good ambitions and inherited skills.
All the nations in the world are experiencing the same craft’s skills similarly, but each nation creates only to them characterizing uniqueness, which is made by connection between traditional and contemporary. Identity is continuous process, in which creating and maintaining has been strengthening the affiliation to own land and nation, encouraging societies’ participation in creating nation’s future.
This exposition puts the accent on black and white in decorative applied art’s works. Nation’s art’s masters, professional craftsmen, artists and designers, which has created exposition in material’s handling techniques like – ceramics, textiles, metal, wood, leather, glass and others. In the exhibition more than 140 author’s works is seen. They are united by cooperation in creating new art’s, design’s or craft’s subjects, looking for an inception or inspiration in the nation’s history, traditional nation’s culture and art.

In cooperation with society “Latvian nation’s art’s union” art’s and craft’s exhibitions in Riga St. Peter’s Church has become a tradition. In 2012 exhibition “Art and Crafts” was held, but in 2014 international art’s and crafts’ exhibition “Surprising lace. Ajour in art and crafts”, in which took a part not only the local artists, but also artists from Finland, Germany, Norway, Bulgaria, England, France, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Ireland.
