Gnomes and fairy-tale characters will walk around Iļguciems, Nordeķu Park, and at the end of the festive procession, a festive tree will be lit in the yard of Riga Culture Center "Iļguciems".

The "Procession of the Gnomes" is a tradition cultivated by the Riga Culture Center "Iļguciems", which this year, after the pandemic break, will once again gather gnomes, fairy-tale characters and children in an entertaining program. The gmome procession will take place on December 4, gathering for the procession from 17.00, the start of the walk at 17.30. The duration of the event is planned until 19.30.

During the procession, together with the fairy-tale characters, we will go on a walk full of surprises to Nordeķi Park, during which the fairy-tale characters we meet will help light the Christmas tree decorations in the courtyard of the Riga Culture Center "Iļguciems" at the end of the procession.

The program of the event is planned especially for children - with the participation of fairy-tale characters, songs and games.

The participants of the event are invited to dress according to the weather and to dress up as gnomes or fairy tale characters.
