In the Riga Culture Center "Iļguciems" from August 15, on display - Jeļena Narbutes' painting exhibition “Atbalss”.
The artist says about her works: "I perceive the world through feelings, which I express with colors and different textures. This is how my works are created - the reflection of my feelings and emotions in art. I choose abstraction for my works because it is versatile and independent. It does not disappoint, does not value correctness, refuses frames and condemnation. My artworks are an echo of my thoughts and feelings. I give them to you ... to see, to hear, to feel. It is important not only to listen, but to hear, not only to feel, but to experience, not only to watch, but to see.
You will feel your emotions, your echo and your story in my works. Similar to looking in a mirror that reflects perfections and imperfections. When you look into these abstractions, you may see more than a normal mirror image because your mind, heart and soul will be reflected. The main rule is to go with what you see. Maybe you will discover something that you have not discovered until now, because after all, everything that moves us forward or, on the contrary, slows us down, is inside us. See art, feel your emotions, hear your echo and story! Explore, discover your inner world and enjoy its secrets!”
