Association "CIPARNICA. TALS' KERAMIK'" is a non-governmental organization founded in Talsi on November 2, 2006. Two ceramists work there - Diāna Dzelme and Nauris Galviņš. Among the members of the association are also their assistants and friends, as well as representatives of the creative society of Talsi.
The first major exhibition of these ceramicists "At the Roots" was held in Talsi County Museum in 2010, the second - "Svētdiena" - in 2016. Each exhibition has surprised with something - not only with the always thought-out exhibition arrangement, but also with the collection itself. At one moment, the artists tried to focus more on traditions, while at the next moment they approached modern design solutions. The basic value that pervades all these years of the association's activity is the desire to do everything by themselves - events for heating the ovens, master workshops and various promotions, such as pot smashing, have been organized on their own.
In order to attract the first fans of ceramic works, there was always a serious process of getting to know one's craft and evolving ones skill set - participation in various potters' associations, collegial friendship with other masters in the craft, etc. Every experience and contacts gained in different ways have helped Diana and Nauris to become masters - individuals. Currently, not only connoisseurs of ceramics, but also customers can recognize their tableware collections at exhibitions.
Association " CIPARNICA. TALS' KERAMIK' " lives in Talsi, Lielaja Street 30, where Diana and Nauris have furnished the premises by themselves. The place has become a place of dynamic work, meeting and getting to know each other and it’s not limited only for people of Talsi. This exhibition continues to demonstrate the growth and originality of the craftsmen ideas, creating the common visual composition of the space and their vessels. In their works, the artists have succeeded surprisingly well in showing the uncertain of today.
