From July 4 to August 12, 2023, the Song Festival satellite exhibition of folk applied art studios will be on display in the lobby of Riga Culture Center "Iļguciems".
As part of the the XXVII General Song and XXVII Dance Festival, the folk art exhibition “Mēs”("We") displays wast selection of the works of Latvian weavers, needleworkers, braiders, potters, and ceramicists. In addition to this exhibition, which was opened on July 1st in Riga, Sporta Street 2, in the Cultural Center "Iļguciems", from July 4th, visitors can visit an additional applied art exhibition with the works created in the folk applied art studios of the Riga Culture Center "Iļguciems".
Participants in the exhibition: all art studios of Riga Culture Center "Iļguciems" - TLMS "Austra", TLMS "Ataudze", TLMS "Irbi", TLMS "Ceplis", TLMS "Puduris", TLMS "Rītausma", TLMS "Zīle". The exhibition will feature fabrics, handicrafts of various techniques, knitting, weaving of various types and techniques, metal forgings and ceramics.
The exhibition can be viewed every day from 10.00 to 18.00 in the lobby of the 2nd floor of the Riga Culture Center "Iļguciems". Free entrance.
