Artists from Jurmala have repeatedly exhibited their works in the centre of Riga at St. Peter's Church premises. The exposition is comprised of their latest works of art. The participants of the exhibition are artists of different generations who live in Jurmala, as well as guest artists who take active part in the arts life of Jurmala. This group of artists has held exhibitions and workshops in Latvia, Estonia, Finland, and France. In this year the artists have founded Jurmala Artist’s Union.
Arts life in Jurmala is active year-round due to the experienced and renowned artists, as well as due to the large exhibition halls available at the town’s museum, the children’s arts school with its professional team of arts teachers and the talented youth, and the Artist’s House of Bulduri with its various program. There are painters, graphic artists, sculptors, photographers, arts teachers, as well as masters of applied art among the participants of the exhibition – 50 authors in total, and they all regard connection with the audiences as essential. Presently, they are expecting to learn the opinions of the people of Riga and its visitors.
