From 21 March to 20 April a joint exhibition by artists Tatjana Krivenkova and Jekaterina Sazonova named AWAKENING is taking placeat the Riga Porcelain Museum
Tatjana Krivenkova successfully combines painting, ceramics and graphic art in her creative activity. The exhibition features her colour lithography series “Buds” which excellently demonstrates the artist’s creative handwriting – minimalistic but picturesque aesthetics, unobtrusive conceptualism and integrity of thought.
Jekaterina Sazonova is a talented ceramist from St. Petersburg where she has studied design and art. She has worked in one of the most ancient and prominent porcelain plants of Europe – the Imperial Porcelain Factory and is the author of the design of many china sets produced there. The exhibition hereby presents the works with an associative motif of plants – “cabbage” as the artist herself says. The design and art pieces created by Jekaterina Sazonova possess a simple, even ascetic, however expressive form and elaborated sense of style.
Both artists share sincere austerity both in art and life as well as high standards and sense of responsibility toward the spectator of their art.
