Dzintra Romanovska's exhibition "Mazie cilvēciņi" will be on display at the Riga Culture Center "Iļguciems" from February 7.
Dzintra Romanovska (1995) is a painter with a diploma in art history. Although the artist's professional activities are related to research, painting is an integral part of her life, which she mainly learned at the Riga Design and Art High School, as well as from several teachers of the Latvian Academy of Arts. Over the past few years, she has held personal exhibitions and summer plein airs several times.
In the exhibition "Mazie cilvēciņi" viewers can see paintings with philosophical and religious motifs. In her works, the author focused on the search for the Essential, looked for ways to portray the Savior and those who found or lost him. With abstract areas of color and miniature human figures, the artist has created narrative compositions that convey the fact that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
In her works, the author plays with interesting compositional solutions, seeks a balance between the very small and the very large, works with clean areas of color and multi-layered varnish.
The artist's latest works can be seen in the lobby of the Riga Culture Center "Iļguciems", Lidoņu Street 27 k-2 from February 7 to March 31, 2023.
