In November 2022, the Riga Porcelain Museum offers special festive workshops dedicated to the themes of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, sovereignty and national identity. On November 11., 12. and 18, 19, the holiday workshop are free of charge.
The participants of the holiday workshop will have the opportunity to create their own compositions on porcelain objects using the decolling technique and decals of thematic colors and motifs specially developed for the event. The decal is a "removable picture" that can be glued to the porcelain surface - after firing, it melts into the glaze, forming a permanent color coating. This technique allows even inexperienced masters to operate easily. The offer will include graphic elements created by the artist with motifs of totemism and ethnographic patterns, which can be used readymade, as well as decal sheets of different colors, from which you can cut out your own shapes and freely create ornaments, compositions and collages on white porcelain. We offer porcelain dishes of various sizes and shapes and other objects of your choice. The decollated objects will be available at the Museum after firing and will serve as a memory-stimulating souvenir even after the holiday is over.
The creative workshop "18th of November" is available only in November, in addition to the museum's regular workshop offers. Workshop participation fee EUR 8.00 (except on November 11, 12, 18, 19, when the workshop is available free of charge).
To visit the workshop, you need to apply in advance by phone +371 26406354 every day from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except Mondays and Sundays.
The service is available for individual visitors or groups of up to 6 people, people with special needs.
