Museum "Riga Art Nouveau Center" on October 8, 2022 at 11.00 invites you to Children's Morning. Together with the Albert the Cat, children will get to know autumn motifs in the interior of the art nouveau museum, look at and try on hats, as well as capture the moment in the art nouveau photo salon.
Together with Albert the Cat, children will be able to try their hand at learning Art Nouveau lines and shapes, color their autumn drawing in chestnut tones and play fun games. In the museum's virtual exposition, the whole family will have the opportunity to put together a puzzle of an Art Nouveau house, test their architectural skills, as well as create a diploma for themselves with the ornaments of the Latvian artist Julijs Madernieks.
The Children's morning will be led by Iveta Sproģe, project manager of the museum "Riga Art Nouveau Center".
Nature motifs and stylized plant decorations are an important part of the Art Nouveau interior. The range of greenish tones with chestnut fruits in the fireplace room, pine needle motifs in the dining room, and the pink scent of roses in the bedroom of the " museum "Riga Art Nouveau Center" - museum visitors have fallen in love with it and felt it as an organic presence of natural motifs in an Art Nouveau home. The daisy motif of the living room inspires and allows you to feel the summer mood of the Latvian meadows all year round. On the other hand, the rich chestnut tones remind us of the abundant harvest time and the course of the sun in autumn, encouraging visitors to think about the Art Nouveau love for nature.
