In the museum "Riga Art Nouveau Center" on February 19, 2023 at 11.00 a.m. there will be a monthly event for families with children "Visit to Albert the Cat and "Rīga cats"". In it, children will see the exhibition "Riga cats", work creatively, and take photos in the art nouveau photo salon together with Albert the Cat.
On the third Sunday of February, Albert the Cat invites children to visit the museum and see the exhibition "Riga cats", which features cats drawn by the artist Anita Paegle. Many of them have become beloved book characters and their adventures are told in the children's books of Māra Cielena and Inese Zandere. Together with Albert the Cat and museum project manager Iveta Sproge, children will learn about cats in book illustrations, stamps and even commemorative coins issued by the Bank of Latvia. The participants of the event will also read well-known poems and fairy tales from the early 20th century children's literature. Participants of the children's morning will also be able to get acquainted with the cats in Riga's art nouveau architecture and draw them. The participants of the event will have the opportunity to capture their participation in this event in a fun photo by taking it in the art nouveau photo salon together with Alberrt the Cat.
