Saturday, on February 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., the "Riga Cat Saturday" event for families with children will be held in the museum "Riga Art Nouveau Center". In it, children will meet poet Inese Zandere, artist Anita Paegle, Kaķu Martiņa ( Martina the Cat), see the exhibition "Cats of Riga", engage in musical conversations with Matilda Stepe and Patriks Kārlis Stepe, and take part in the creative workshop of the cat calendar together with Anita Paegle and Una Laukmane.
The museum " Riga Art Nouveau Center ", in cooperation with the publishing house "Liels un mazs", invites families with children on February 25 at 11:00 a.m. for “Riga Cats Saturday” - listen to poems, learn more about the drawings in the "Riga Cats" exhibition, engage in musical conversations about the cat on the piano and participate in a creative workshop.
The drawings on display in the exhibition of Anita Paegle "Riga Cats" were originally created as illustrations for two children's books - "Cat on the Piano" by Inese Zandere and "Meow and Purr" by Māra Cielēna. Poet Inese Zandere and artist Anita Paegle will talk about the book "Cat on the Piano", cats, drawings and poems, Kaķu Martiņa from Māra Cielēna's "Meow and Purr" will also be present. In the course of the event, Matilde Stepe and Patriks Kārlis Stepe will hold musical conversations about the prototype of the book - cats on the piano, but everything will be concluded by the creative workshop of drawing a cat's calendar together with Anita Paegle and Una Laukmane.
